Japan: Through People & Color is the result of a journey that began more than ten years after my first visit to Japan.

The project explores the Japanese communities, where tradition and technology coexist in quiet harmony as part of the same visual narrative. From the peaceful villages of the Japanese Alps to the endless movement of Tokyo, the book follows the people, color and architecture who give shape to the everyday life.

My work begins with ordinary moments. Through composition and color, I seek to reveal the quiet beauty that often goes unnoticed, transforming everyday scenes into moments of contemplation. Rather than just documenting a place, I am interested in how people inhabit it and how their presence and colors shapes its identity.

About the Author: Julio Pastor Cebria is a documentary and street photographer from Valencia, Spain.

His work explores the communities across the world, moved by the interaction between art and the societal momentum, his work intends to transform the beauty of everyday life through composition and color into images that invite contemplation.
