PEDASSS ATELIER is a London-based fashion label reworking traditional Indonesian textiles for a contemporary wardrobe. Designed in London and handcrafted in Indonesia, the brand brings techniques including batik, lurik, and jumputan into modern silhouettes with a focus on small-batch production, strong design and the people behind the fabric.

Founded after a year spent researching textile traditions in Indonesia, including learning batik first-hand, PEDASSS sees heritage as something active rather than archival: a design language that can move, evolve and still feel relevant now.

With Photobook Cafe, PEDASSS brings that world into one space through fashion, textiles, film, music and making. Traditional Indonesian textiles and their histories will be shown alongside pieces from the current collection and the PEDASSS archive, creating a visual conversation between where the fabrics come from and what they can become.

A short film will trace elements of the making process, while Indonesian music and small desserts bring another layer of the culture into the room. Visitors can also take part in a scrunchie-making workshop using leftover PEDASSS fabric offcuts.

The project is a look back at generations of textile knowledge and how these textile traditions continue to be worn, reworked and carried forward.
