'Tupendane, meaning "let us love one another" in Swahili, is more than a title; it is the sentiment that inspired this body of work.
Created across multiple countries and communities, these photographs offer a window into the people and places that have shaped the artist's journey. Throughout their travels, they have been welcomed with warmth, kindness, and openness. These encounters revealed a shared humanity rooted in empathy, generosity, and connection, regardless of culture or geography. Through this exhibition, the artist invites viewers to embrace the spirit of tupendane in their own lives: to lead with compassion, remain open, and seek connection in unexpected places.
All profits from the exhibition will support the Tupendane Africa Foundation, founded by the artists friend, Rosaline Mushi. The foundation is dedicated to creating lasting positive change by addressing gender inequality, discrimination, and poverty. Through education, vocational training, community development, and advocacy, it empowers individuals to build fulfilling lives and strengthen their communities.'
