emmv x misha is a London-based artistic and curatorial duo formed by Emma Paige Hoey, an American multidisciplinary artist, and Misha Malyshev, a Russian creative and photographer. Both 28, they bring together distinct artistic perspectives through a shared curiosity about the ordinary and illusionistic world around them.
Their collaborative practice explores the spaces between reality and imagination; they approach photography and curation as ways of chronicling not only what we see, but what we feel, remember, or believe we have experienced.
Their debut curatorial project, apparently., is an international photography exhibition in London exploring the spaces between the real and unreal. Dreamlike moments, strange coincidences, the supernatural hiding in the everyday, and experiences that feel strangely familiar yet somehow otherworldly.
Welcoming photography in any form, apparently. brings together international interpretations of these moments, embracing the subjective nature of perception. and the many ways reality can be experienced.
Embracing the idea of a beginner's mind, emmv x misha approach curation with playfulness, curiosity, and openness to the unexpected. Through their projects, they hope to create welcoming spaces for artistic exchange, connecting voices and finding harmonious stories between different paths.
