Baris Ucar is an Istanbul-born, London-based photographer and visual artist working across portraiture, documentary photography and collage.
Never Let You Go is a debut solo photobook bringing together work developed over the past two years in London. The book moves between portraits, streets, fragments, traces of light and strangers, forming an uneasy, dreamlike passage through urban life.
Using rephotography alongside physical and digital interventions, the photographs are revisited and altered through shifts in texture, scale and surface. The sequence lets images drift between familiarity and distance, allowing a narrative to unfold whose beginning and end remain unclear.
Never Let You Go will be launched at The Photobook Cafe in Shoreditch on 3 September 2026. Copies of the book will be available to view and purchase.
